Who’s on Your Family Tree

My cousin David is ours.  He is our family genealogist! He has traced the Eger family way back to Romania!

Who is your family genealogist?  Are you interested in learning or becoming your family history keeper and discoverer?  Or perhaps you already are! 

Whether one is a beginning, intermediate or advanced family history researcher –this summer right here in Los Angeles is the 30th International Jewish Genealogy Conference!  July 11-16 at the New JW Marriott hotel downtown-armchair genealogists from around the world alike will gather to learn, explore and discover their roots and tricks of the trade! 

Arthur Kurzweil who wrote the classic book on Jewish genealogy “From Generation to Generation: How to Trace Your Jewish Genealogy and Family History” and  is considered to be a definitive introductory guide on genealogy,will be  the Scholar in Residence. His talks are not to be missed.

For those who are Shabbat observant there is a special Shabbat program beginning July 9. There will a Shabbat Welcome Dinner (all Kosher) with a speaker: Heroes & Villains: Jews of the Old West.

Saturday they will begin the morning with Minyan to be followed with speakers during the day. There will also be a Shomer Shabbos Downtown Los Angeles Historical Jewish Walking Tour.  Another Welcome Dinner (all Kosher) with Arthur Kurzweil: “Genealogy as a Spiritual Pilgimmage”.
