Marriage Equality Protest

The Marriage Equality bandwagon marches on!  This Monday is Valentine’s Day.  This year yet again, couples in Los Angeles will make their way to the clerk’s office to try to get marriage license applications.  We live in an apartheid state where some couples were able to marry in that small window of a few months in 2008 (June 16-Nov 4) until the passage of Prop. 8.

Each year for many years couples on Valentine’s Day have tried to get marriage licenses.  This effort highlights the inequalities for gay and lesbian people.

This year’s event will be held in East Los Angeles at LA County Recorder’s office 4716 Cesar Chavez Ave. LA 90022 from 11:30-1 pm  on Monday.

If you want to do something and engage in peaceful protest.  Show up!
