Join me and several of my colleagues for an amazing evening of discussion of what it means to be a gay or lesbian rabbi. Sponsored by the Jewish Journal of Los Angeles and Hillside Memorial Park, the evening will be anchored by Susan Freudenheim, managing editor of the Jewish Journal! It will be Tuesday, March 2 at 7:30 pm at the Writer’s Guild Theatre 135 S. Doheny Drive, Beverly Hills.
Joining me on stage will also be Rabbi J.B. Sacks, Rabbi Lisa Edwards, Rabbi Zachary Shapiro and Rabbi Jocee Hudson. Each of us will have time to tell our stories and answer questions from our wonderful moderator. We will have some time to discuss the history of GLBT clergy and the impact gay rabbis have had on our movements, Judaism as a whole, our congregations and communities both Jewish and GLBT and larger society.
I know it will be a great night. I am looking forward to it and I hope you will plan to be there with us.
