Just in time for Gay Pride Weekend. This CBS News poll shows that Americans are changing their attitudes from ignorance and intolerance of gay and lesbian people toward acceptance! More Americans say they actually know gay people proving the point that the best road to equality is coming out of the closet. Harvey Milk was right–everyone who is a same-gender loving person needs to be honest about their lives. It makes a difference not only for the individual who no longer has to live with a deep, dark secret. But it changes hearts and minds of that person’s circle! It demystifies what it means to be a gay or lesbian person.
