It came two Fridays ago by email.  I didn’t really believe it was real. In fact, I thought it was a joke or prank by a friend. But it was real.
An invitation to the White House for a reception in honor of Jewish-American Heritage Month.  I wasn’t going to go at first but everyone said I had to. So on Tuesday afternoon I will join with others to celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month at the White House!

I guess they were right? How do you say “No” to such an invitation. Even if the timing was bad.  I guess they have red-eye flights just for this. I am still waiting to figure out how to clone myself to be in multiple places at once.   I am sure I will have a story or two later on in the week.
