I think a lot of us have indirectly benefited from your mothers advice. For me the first time was the day or two after Prop 8 passed and I was struggling with the idea joining the protest outside the LDS temple. I had never publicly protested anything in my life. Working in corporate America had pressured me into never being a “trouble maker.”
Sill angst ridden and at home when it started I saw you, on the local news, out there “leading a charge” across Santa Monica Blvd. I haven’t backed down from a protest since then.
